so easy that you can solve it drunk

(Published on 24. September 2024, 14:30 by Deloulou)

It's my first try to make a Puzzle. I hope more or less easy to solve. Please leave a comment if you like it.

Rules:

Normal sudoku rules apply.

Thermometers: Digits on Thermos are strictly increasing from bulb to tip.

Arrows: Digits along an arrow must sum to the number indicated in the circle from which the arrow emerges. Digits may repeat along arrows if allowed by other rules.

Even: Cells marked with a grey square contain even digits.

X-Dominos: Cells separated by an X must sum to 10, cells separated by 5 must sum to 5. Not all Xs are necessarily given but ALL V's ARE GIVEN.

I would like to echo what Dimono said! The puzzle itself was nice. It’s unfortunate that a rule was missed but it happens. When I started setting I had quite a few issues with posting puzzles. I remember one puzzle where I put odd circles and completely forgot to include them in the rules. I also can’t tell you how many times when I first started off setting where I put the wrong solution code description and mixed up row and column. Things happens, but this is a nice puzzle! Keep at it and I can’t wait to see you grow and learn more about setting in the process! Nice first puzzle!

Thanks for your debut, Deloulou. I liked it very much and don't see, why it got only a 58% approval rate. It has a very smooth flow. Go on with setting!

I added the missing rule, thank you all for reminding me of that and sorry for the circumstance.

A rule is missing(anti V probably), that makes it have 2000 more solutions.

Rating this very nice because I think the puzzle itself is fine, just a rule got left out of the description. When solved with a global anti-V constraint, the solve path is straightforward and logical.

Don't worry about a hiccup on your first puzzle - I once released a non-unique puzzle two years into my career as a setter. Things get overlooked - it happens. This puzzle shows promise, and I hope you learn from it and grow.

Thank you for this nice puzzle, Deloulou! When assuming the anti-V constraint, it solves very smoothly. I hope we see more of your creations and I wish you good luck with setting your next puzzles!

the anti v restriction is correct

The 20th beer did it for me.

The puzzle is unique and gives a correct solution code, if one assumes a global anti v restriction.

I think something must be missed in the rules, because this is unsolvable. I even tried having a bunch of drinks to see if I could solve it drunk.

I couldn't.

As written, this puzzle has over 3000 solutions.

Did you skip a rule? Because this puzzle has over 100 solutions as posted.
