Send In The Clones

(Published on 25. September 2024, 23:03 by Jay Dyer)

Rules

  • Normal sudoku rules apply.
  • Cells connected by a black dot have values in a 1:2 ratio.
  • The values of cells on a line form a non-repeating set of consecutive numbers, which may be in any order.
  • Nine cells (one per row/column/box) are "clone cells". Clone cells all have the same value (a number from 1-9 which must be determined) independent of the digits they contain. Each digit appears in exactly one clone cell.

I found myself starting and restarting this puzzle over several days to find the logical way through. On my last attempt, I solved it, and I am really glad I took this approach because the puzzle shines when you feel like you're not brute forcing it - which is not necessary at all. Lovely puzzle and thanks for making it. Brutally hard though.

Took me two hours and I loved every bit of it. What a clever, brilliant, genius puzzle (again)
