2 Corinthians 4:18 (Aqre Anti-X-Sum Chaos Deconstruction)

(Published on 18. September 2024, 01:43 by MaizeGator)

RULES:

  • Chaos Deconstruction: There are 9 orthogonally connected regions in the grid that the solver must locate (not necessarily 3x3 regions). Place the digits 1-9 into each region, such that no digit repeats in a region, row, or column. The grid is 10x11, so some cells will remain empty.

  • Aqre: A Chaos Deconstruction Region may not have more than 3 cells in a row horizontally or vertically.

  • "Anti-X-sums":A small clue in the top left corner of a cell indicates the sum of digits in that cell’s region that can NOT be seen by that cell (region borders block vision). The digit in the cell is the number of cells involved in the sum. A "?" stands for any digit, 0-9. All clues are part of regions.

  • Shout-out and thanks to sfushidahardy for naming this puzzle!

4-star difficulty? It is definitely a 5-star for me. Maybe I didn't find the correct path.

Hello, could you provide an example for the anti-x-sums rule ? I struggle a bit to get around

-@kamkam certainly! Here is an example of one potential region. https://imgur.com/FAC3O3Y. The 5 digit in the 24 clue indicates that 5 cells are NOT seen by the clued cell and sum to 24 (2+4+6+9+3)

Excellent puzzle! I really enjoyed developing intuition/learning logic for the anti-X-sum rule throughout the solve.

Very nice ! It takes a bit of time to get used to the anti x-sum rule at first, but it works well in this ruleset. Enjoyed it ! Thanks :)
