Relatively Foggy Cages
(Published on 13. September 2024, 18:05 by Nebuzaradan)
- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- Cells separated by a black dot are in a 1:2 ratio.
- Cells separated by a white dot are consecutive.
- Additionally, every dot connects two cages.
- Cages separated by a black dot have relatively prime sums (i.e., their greatest common factor is 1).
- Cages separated by a white dot have sums which are not relatively prime.
- Digits may not repeat in cages.
- Not necessarily all dots are given.
- The grid is partially covered with fog. Correctly placed digits will clear the fog around that cell. No guessing is required.

This puzzle was my submission to Scojo and Hatgurl's challenge as a puzzle imitating Elytron's setting style, where it was voted less likely (but on a tiebreaker!) to be the true Elytron puzzle than the impressively innovative Fog! Hammertime! It's particularly inspired by Cage Dots in the Fog and Factoring in the Arrows, but I'd recommend checking out all of Elytron's puzzles for some impressively creative uses of arithmetic in variant Sudoku.
