This was my attempt at imitating Phil the Hat for Scojo's Secret Impostor Challenge, which provided many spectacular puzzles. Imitating Phil gave me a new perspective on aesthetic setting, and one that I am very happy to have received!
I'd also like to, for what feels like the thousandth time (but just as deserved as the first), thank Scojo for putting this event on! This was truly the most fun I've had with sudoku setting, maybe ever.
Rules:
Sudoku:
Each row, column and 3x3 box contains the digits 1-9.
Ciphered clues:
10 digits (0-9) are replaced with letters. Each letter is a different digit.
Average little killers:
letters outside the grid give the exact average of all cells pointed at by the arrow in that letter's cell.
Killer cages:
digits may not repeat in a cage and must sum to the number in the corner. "?" is any digit from 0 to 9. "?" is not necessarily always the same number. If there is a 2-digit number beginning with "?", that must be from 1 to 9.
