Degraded Cells (Juggler Impression)

(Published on 9. September 2024, 18:15 by gdc)

Over the last two weeks Scojo hosted a "secret imposter" challenge where participants were randomly assigned to impersonate other participants by setting a puzzle in their style. The wheel chose juggler as my target. It was quite challenging but I feel like I learnt a lot and I am very happy with the result. Thanks Scojo and Hatgurl for organizing. Hope you enjoy!

  • Combine all grids into one solvable 9x9 Sudoku by rotating and moving the small grids. Normal Sudoku rules apply in the combined grid.
  • Germy Whispers: Adjacent digits on a green line differ by at least 5.
  • Coccus Line: Adjacent digits on a dotted line are consecutive or in a 1:2 ratio.

Accessibility Note (CVD)

The "hairy" lines are german whisper lines. The lines consisting of small circles are ambiguous kropki lines. Small details in the fractures and "hairs" are purely cosmetic and have no significance for the puzzle logic.

Solution code: column 9 of the combined grid top to bottom (9 digits)

Absolutely incredible work! Before this challenge I thought juggler would be the one person impossible to impersonate - but you rose to the challenge and pulled off something absolutely, so beautifully "juggler" that it seemed to be an impossibility it could have been anyone else!
Absolutely outstanding work! Take a bow, gdc!

I'm still not convinced it's not juggler... you did a remarkable job with this one.
