Cold Snap

(Published on 31. August 2024, 01:30 by SneakySteve)

Cold Snap

This is a simple snack puzzle to demonstrate the cold arrows ruleset. If you enjoy it, feel free to check out the hot arrows variation with Rising Heat, and a full 9x9 cold arrows puzzle with Flurry.

Rules:

  • Normal Sudoku rules apply. Place every digit from 1 to 6, once each, into every row, column, and 2x3 region.
  • Cold arrows: A blue arrow points toward a cell N distance away that has a value less than N, where N is the digit in the arrow's cell. (For example, if r1c1 is a 3, then r1c4 is less than 3.)

Solve using Sudokupad

Enjoy!

Solution code: Column 4 digits, from top to bottom

There may have been an update to SudokuPad that changed something, because they're flipped for me now too. I'll work on getting that fixed.

@RussKozerski: Yeah, me too. Same in Chrome and Firefox.

Are anyone else's arrows reversed? I'm using the link to Sudokupad, and every arrow is opposite to what's shown in the image above. For example, the arrow I see in R1C1 points left.
