eXcepting sum-one shady
A puzzle I created about a week ago before I had an account
Rules:
1. Normal classic rules apply
2. Two digits joined by an X must sum to 10
3. shading: shade some cells so that all unshaded cells will be orthogonally connected and no 2x2 area will be entirely shaded or unshaded
4. The shaded digits form killer cages in which digits cannot repeat
5. The killer cages cannot be orthogonally adjacent to each other and must each have a unique sum
6. the given cage cells in the grid all belong to top rows of cages and (if given) show the sum of their cage (not all cages have clue cells)
7. Shady X sum: a digit outside the grid shows the sum of the first X shaded digits from that direction X being the digit in cell adjacent to the clue (The X digit does not have to be shaded)
important Note: you can solve the sudoku without finding all cages but if you want its possible to find them all
Hope you have fun!!!
Solution code: write row (from left to right) 3 and row 8 with no spaces
