For
Scojo's recent setting prompt of "indexing", I was determined to make a Yin Yang puzzle where shaded cells were column indexers and unshaded cells strictly could not be, but it melted my brain so I just drew a smiley face instead. If you think you could make a shading puzzle with rules like that, please let me know via Discord, but I think I'm giving up on it for now.
The given 5 isn't strictly necessary, so if you really want to put your Squishdoku skills to the test, feel free to try
a version without it, but be warned: whilst none of the steps are particularly unreasonable, they get awfully fiddly!
Squishdoku: Fill every cell with a digit from 1-9 such that digits do not repeat in a row, column or 3x3 box. There are nine 3x3 boxes, which overlap at the dashed lines.
Column Indexers: If rXcY is red and contains the digit N, then rXcN contains the digit Y.
Dominoes: Digits separated by a black dot are in a 1:2 ratio; digits separated by an X sum to 10.
Solution code: Row 1 (top), left to right

The most handsome face in Sudoku! (and Mr. Squishface is looking nice, as well).
