Logic Masters Deutschland e.V.

This is my first time uploading a puzzle on here after gathering my courage for a while. If you enjoy the solve and/or have some feedback for future puzzles, please leave a comment! Now for the puzzle.

• Normal sudoku rules apply. Fill all rows, columns and marked 3x3 boxes with the digits 1-9 without any repeats.
• Digits seperated by a white dot are consecutive. Not all dots are given.
• Digits along the grey thermometer increase from the bulb end.
• Cells containing stars are watchtowers. The clue in the top left corner of that cell indicate how many times the digit in the star is seen along the diagonals going through that cell. The letter ”A” indicates a digit, to be deduced by the solver.

In the image below, there are 3 watchtower cells, containing 1, 5 and 9 respectively.
The only correct clue is the one containing a 1, since it sees two copies of itself diagonally, just like the clue suggests.
The one containing a 5 is incorrect, as it sees four copies of itself diagonally instead of three as the clue suggests.
The one containing a 9 is incorrect as it sees no copies of itself diagonally instead of one as the clue suggests.
