Cryptic Note

A third mystery puzzle! Even though these do not garner as much attention as any other puzzle type on the portal, I really enjoy making these, and I hope that the handful of people who solve them also enjoy solving them. Nathan and Tobias were both in deep thought as they were staring down the piece of paper. They had overcome through the earlier puzzles relatively easily but this one seemed to make no sense at all. It read:

After a while, Tobias exclaimed:
"Ha, got it!"
Nathan was puzzled:
"Whaa, already? I still have no clue what to do... Man you really are something. Can you at least give me a hint?"
"You really don't need much, think of how I helped you with the previous station's Sudoku."
"Really? You didn't even do anything back then, just told me to look at the middle rows... The rest was just me being blind as usual."
Tobias smirked at his latest comment. Why would he smirk at that... Then it struck him, and immediately started scribbling down... Soon enough, both had the answer.

This took me significantly longer than the first twos of yours because I was totally misled by how certain hints appeared, but that was until earlier today that I finally got the right thought; still took me over half an hour after that though xd

a gorgeous puzzle overall. Getting started maaaaay or may not have taken much long, but the way it falls into place afterwards is just so satisfying and well threaded. Cheers for the amazing logic!
PS. I felt very much like Nathan in this puzzle xd
