EATEOT 1: First Times

(Published on 24. August 2024, 08:20 by Neokart)

This is the first sudoku puzzle I've made. This is the 1st puzzle of a series inspired by The Caretaker's album "Everywhere at the End of Time".

Rules:

1. Normal sudoku rules apply.

2. The three thick gray lines are palindromes that reads the same backwards and forwards.

3. Digits along an arrow must sum to the number in the conected pill. Numbers in pills are read from left to right.

4. Digits joined by an X must sum to 10.

5. Digits joined by a V must sum to 5.

6. Digits in gray circles must be odd.

Note: Colored cells are just decoration and have no effect on the puzzle.

Lots of interesting interactions between the different constraints made this a smooth puzzle to solve but not easy. Thank you.

PinkNickels, thanks for commenting! The 6 parts of this series were the first puzzles I made and it was quite a challenge. I will be publishing the other parts, for now I have already published the second one.

I really enjoyed this one, not sure why the rating is just 80%. Sure, there are a few things that could be a touch smoother, but hell of a puzzle for your first time setting! You should be very proud. Thanks for sharing!

Great puzzle! Especially if this was your first. There were a few points I found slightly tricky to see but otherwise a very smooth and satisfying solve. I look forward to the rest of the series :)
