Standard Sudoku rules: place the digits 1-9 once in every row, column and box without repeats.

Sandwich rules: a clue outside the grid gives the sum of digits placed between 1 and 9 in the clue's row/column.

Skyscraper rules: a clue outside the grid gives the sum of digits that can be seen from the clue's perspective in its row/column. Higher digits obstruct the view, i.e. lower digits placed anywhere behind higher digits do not contribute to the skyscraper sum in that direction.

All clues in this puzzle are simultaneously sandwich clues AND skyscraper clues.

So about a year ago I made a puzzle called "Little Killer Sandwiches" (which you can check out HERE). I used outside clues that worked as little killer sums and sandwich sums at the same time; the thought of one clue having a double meaning fascinated me and I wanted to see how far I could take this.

Having "Little Killer Sandwiches" featured recently on the YouTube channel "Cracking The Cryptic" (the video of which you can check out HERE) has sort of resparked my interest in the double-clue concept, and motivated me to set up this new puzzle called "World's Tallest Sandwich". I found the sandwich and skyscraper clues much more constricting to work with than I anticipated, but by the end I was surprised by how relatively few of seemingly disconnected clues are needed to provide a unique solution -and without any additional constraint as well!
