Normal sudoku rules apply.
The grid contains 2 types of thermo's. The Green ones are Bamboo. Bamboo is known to grow slowly at first and then fast. The bulb of the thermo represents the bottom of the bamboo, or the pot in which it is planted if you like to visualize it. There are exactly 2 growing rates on a bamboo, the slow and fast growing rate. The position of the number on bamboo indicates if which growing rate is given. If it is positioned at the bulb it is the slow growing rate, if it is at the top it is the fast growing rate. The changeover between slow and fast growing can be anywhere on the Bamboo. Bamboo has at least 1 slow changeover and 1 fast changeover between cells on the line.
Oobmab's are the blue thermo's. They work in the same way except that they first grow fast and then slow. So the fast rate is given at the bulb and the slow rate is given at the top.
Solution code: column 4, row 6 (no commas or spaces)

Hi Puzzlers, I changed the rules somewhat to make it a little more clear.

The '1' rates given in box 1 and box 4 are the fast rates. Can there be a slow rate of 0? This might work for box 4 but not box 1.

Hi kublai, I've changed the rules a bit so that you can work this out. It's part of the intended logic. Good Luck!
