Odd Ones Out

(Published on 18. August 2024, 22:48 by ZeroNickel)

Normal sudoku rules apply, (fill each row, column, and 3x3 box with the digits 1-9 once each).

Numbered Rooms: clues outside the grid indicate the digit which has to be placed in the Nth cell in the corresponding orthogonal direction, where N is the digit placed in the first cell in that direction.

For example: if R4C1 is the digit 7 and a 3 appears outside the grid next to this cell, then R4C7 contains a 3.

Odd Ones Out: clues outside the grid marked with a question mark (?) are Numbered Rooms clues from the set of odd digits (1,3,5,7,9) and are left for the solver to determine. Each odd digit must appear exactly once as a clue.

Evens: Cells marked with a grey square are even.

Thank you for this great puzzle! There were a few situations where I couldn't find a logical way out and had to guess and try among several possibilities (probably due to my lack of experience with Numbered Rooms), but there were much more situations where the clues can be so nicely combined and exploited. Really enjoyed solving it.
