Rules:
- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- Railroad: draw a train track in the grid - a one-cell-wide loop of orthogonally connected cells. The loop can't touch itself, not even diagonally, and can't go through the cells containing a tree. Adjacent digits on the loop must differ by at least 5.
- Trees: digit in a cell with a maple tree indicates the number of surrounding cells occupied by the train track. Digit in a cell with a pine tree indicates the number of surrounding cells that are NOT occupied by the train track.
-
Train: the train in r8c7 must be on the track and must contain an odd digit.
- Rabbit: digits separated by a rabbit must be consecutive. Not all rabbits are given.

A lovely puzzle that unfolds beautifully from some tricky but satisfying early steps to a rewarding endgame. Thank you! :)

will the train pass every tree (or is this information explicitly to be found out by yourself)
---
It's up to the solver to figure that out

Do the pine cones include their own cell in the count?

No, they don't.
