Factorial Cages

(Published on 13. August 2024, 10:48 by Nurator)

This puzzle got inspired by the Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetics. The rules are short, but there is depth to be found if you look carefully :) My first 5 star puzzle, so hopefully you have as much fun solving it as I had setting it.

Rules:

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

Digits in cages multiply to N factorial (N* (N-1)* ... * 1), where N is the size of the cage. Digits may repeat in cages, if allowed by other rules.

Astounding puzzle! This took me a long while and it's one of the hardest I've ever solved, but it's really satisfying. There are many great aha moments. The geometry of the cages is cleverly designed.
