Prometea (Zipper, Anti-Knight)

(Published on 9. August 2024, 16:48 by gdc)

It's been quite a while since my last anti-knight puzzle. Now I wanted to explore some interactions of anti-knight with zipper lines. The styling of the zippers is a little different to make them work better with coloring. Thanks to all the testers. Hope you enjoy!

  • Sudoku: Normal Sudoku rules apply.
  • Anti-Knight: Digits separated by a knight's move (in chess) cannot contain the same digit.
  • Zipper: Digits an equal distance from the center of a lavender zipper line sum to the central digit.
  • Clones: Cages with the same letter contain the same digit.

That was a treat. But you had to work for it.
Almost gave up two Times, but got back to it and found a new intresting square to color from. To get forward.
Very rewarding

A lovely colouring exercise, has a really old school feel to it but still feels fresh with the zipper lines.

Thank you for this fantastic puzzle, gdc! The interaction of the anti-knight constraint and the zippers was suberb. Great setting!

Some formidably tangled coloring. Very rewarding to unravel, and a really lovely disambiguation to tie a bow on the whole thing (pardon my mixed metaphors... clearly I'm unsure whether I want things tied or untied.) Thanks for setting!
