Oil, Water and Soap
(Published on 30. July 2024, 00:00 by ViKingPrime)
PUZZLE:
RULES:
"Normal" Schrödinger rules apply
(
i.e. place the digits 0 through 9 once each in every row, column and box;
two of the digits will have to share a Schrödinger Cell;
each row, column and box contains exactly one Schrödinger Cell;
the value of a cell is the sum total of its digits).
Values in cages
must not repeat (
though digits may) and sum to the small number printed in top-left corner (
if given).
Each cage is either full of "oil" (
even values), full of "water" (
odd values), or a mix of both. In all cases, each "row" within a cage is of just one type (
oil or water). Oil floats on water, so even values will always be in rows above odd values in mixed cages.
Bubbles always rise to the higher value of two cells.
INTRODUCTION:
In lieu of an introduction, I'm going to include a piece of art like
blobz does.
Have fun!

This may have been unwise for my first oil-and-water puzzle, but I found it delightful! My coloring got a bit crazy, but it was such a delight. I thought the modified killer rule was also surprisingly interesting. Thank you!

Thank you for this clever and beautiful puzzle, ViKingPrime! I am not sure if I would have managed to solve it without the experience of yesterday's stream. But with this practice, it all came together nice and smoothly. Thank you for setting and sharing!

I am a fan of the oil/water series by blobz so this is right up my alley. Great fun.
