Roundabouts
(Published on 27. July 2024, 19:36 by Black_Doom)
This puzzle was created in an attempt to merge deconstruction sudoku with some kind of loop puzzle, which ended up being slitherlink. The puzzle may look dauting, but I hope you still give it a go! I think there's some cool logic here :)
- Slitherlink: draw 9 loops in the grid such that each loop encloses an orthogonally connected 9-cell region. The grid must contain 9 such regions. Each loop must move orthogonally along the edges of cells. Loops can't touch themselves or each other, not even diagonally. The number in top-right corner of a cell indicates the number of loop segments surrounding that cell.
- Deconstruction: fill each 9-cell region with numbers 1-9 such that they don't repeat in rows or columns. The remaining cells must be empty.
- Little Killer: clues outside the grid show the sum of digits along the indicated diagonals.
- Quadruples: digits in a circle must appear at least once in the four surrounding cells.
