Triple Duty Circles

(Published on 14. July 2024, 05:27 by apete)

Normal Sudoku rules apply.
Shade some cells such that all shaded cells form a single, orthogonally connected area and all unshaded cells form a single, orthogonally connected area.
No 2x2 region can be completely shaded or unshaded.
The shaded cells are walls and the unshaded cells are path.
The number in each circle shows the number of path cells (counting that one) that can be "seen" from that circle. Walls block vision.
The number in each circle is the number of circles with that number in a circle. (example: Having a 7 in a circle would mean that there are 7 circled 7s in the completed grid.)
The sum of digits along a segment of line between two circles is equal to the sum of the digits in those two circles.

Lizzy01, thanks for the suggestion. Once I remembered to apply all the rules you provide, I was able to solve it. :)

Sorry for the ambiguity. Yes, the circles MUST be on the path.

The concept of using the circles in three different ways is great. They fit together so nicely and the puzzle was very satisfying to solve.
