Chaos Construction: Fill the grid such that each row, column, and orthogonally-connected 9-cell region contains each of the digits 1-9 with no repeats. Region borders must be deduced (though one is given).
Clues outside the grid give the sum of the first digit seen in each successive region in that row or column. The summed digits always appear in increasing order.
Solve online:
Solution code: Row 6, followed by row 7 (18 digits, no spaces).

Finally got around to this one. Absolutely astonishing. The clues are sparse but no one seems incredibly powerful. It’s only in combination that they lead the way. Any particular clue will have insights at four different points in the solve path. Wildly good construction.
