- Normal sudoku rules apply, i.e. each row, column and 3x3 region has to contain the digits from 1 to 9 once each.
- Killer cages: Digits in a cage must sum to the clue in the top left.
- Stingy Condition: Any two killer cages can have at most one digit in common. For example, if a cage contains the digits 1 and 2, no other cage may have both these digits.
Here you can solve the puzzle online:
Solution code: Row 3 from left to right (9 digits in total)

Wow! That was quite fun! I was worried when I read the rules it wouldn't be that nice and straight forward, but was I wrong! That was a beautiful puzzle with a great new idea. Well done!
**
Thank you for your comment, meggen033! Great to hear you had a fun solve. Yesterday, I have set another slightly tougher puzzle in this variant (not yet in testing), but probably one needs to be careful to not sacrifice smoothness for difficulty.

Very fun variation of the killer rule. When I first read the rules, I expected this to require quite a lot of bookkeeping but the way the cage totals and cage sizes where chosen, every deduction felt very natural and smooth. Well done!
**
Thank you for your comment, gdc! I am glad that you liked the puzzle. Also it is great to hear that you found it not to be requiring a lot of book-keeping. I wanted to keep it reasonably approachable. Probably, one could use the ruleset for harder puzzles, but one had to be careful that it does not get tedious in the way you described. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts.
