Puzzle #1: Anything works
Puzzle #2: Divinity Through the Fog by meggen033
It always is a challenge to adapt to a new variant’s ruleset. Therefore, I am very glad that the second puzzle of the series “Divinity Through the Fog” has been featured in a video solve by Sudoku Sleuth on his Youtube channel. Sudoku Sleuth gives his thought process when first encountering the Omnipotent Lines constraint and does a great job at explaining some implications of the ruleset.
The third Omnipotent Lines puzzle is called “Omnipotent Butterfly” and combines the Omnipotent Lines with quad clues. I like to thank meggen033 for testing the puzzle. The difficulty is estimated at 2.5 stars. As always, your comments are much appreciated. I wish you joyful solving!
- Normal sudoku rules apply, i.e. each row, column and 3x3 region has to contain the digits from 1 to 9 once each.
- Quadruple: A digit in a circle must appear in one of the four surrounding cells.
- Omnipotent Lines: The orange lines are so-called Omnipotent Lines, i.e. each pair of adjacent digits on such a line must fulfill either an X, V, white or black Kropki dot clue. In other words, any pair of adjacent digits on a line must sum to 5 or 10, be consecutive or in a 1:2 ratio. (At least one of these constraints must be met, it is allowed that two are fulfilled simultaneously.)
Example: The digit 3 may be adjacent on a line to either a 2 (V or white Kropki dot), a 4 (white Kropki dot), a 6 (black Kropki dot) or a 7 (X).
Here you can solve the puzzle online:

Very nice yet tricky puzzle. It's easy to get lost in the line and not see all the beautiful sudoku around it, but once one does it comes together quite elegantly. Very well done, and can't wait to see what's next! Cheers!

Thank you for your kind words, meggen033, and also thanks again for the testing! What you mention is indeed a challenge: Sometimes you start to think about the implications of the Omnipotent lines and forget normal sudoku and when you do normal sudoku it is easy to miss some line deductions. Probably, that justifies a difficulty of 2-3 stars. Regarding what comes next: I have not made up my mind yet. I have some other puzzles up my sleeve, but also always am open for suggestions. :)
