Thank you for sharing this fun puzzle, Jobo!
@skavanker: I was able to solve the puzzle with the understanding that you can take the bulb digits as the candidates for the tips of all its emerging thermos. For example, R7C9 and R9C7 must be 4 and 9.

"The small clues in thermometer bulbs show the digits that appear in that thermometer's tips."
Can you please elaborate on this i dont get it. Box 9 would break as I understand this constraint

TIP: Don't forget the thermo-tip clues!
I pencil-marked the thermo-tip options as I was beginning the puzzle. Great for the start, but left me stuck after a while.

Really enjoyed the puzzle, despite my brain skipping.

A lovely puzzle with a nice flow. I had to read the comments to make sure I understood the rules. I need to pay a bit more attention to the wording in future.

Thoroughly enjoyed this! A very daft Ratfinkz moment at the end meant I took far longer than I should have! Thanks for setting!

Two polar coloring works well for this brilliant puzzle in particular, and the thermo variant in general.

Are the digits shown nearest the thermo they are at the tip of? If so, why not simply make them given digits?

No, they are given in random order, it is up to the solver to deduce which goes where. I figured that would be clear from the fact that they are not given digits in the correct position. It would also break the puzzle quickly in for example column 1.
