Rules:

  • Normal Sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1 through 9 in each empty cell. Digits must not repeat within the same row, column, or box.
  • Anti-Knight: Cells separated by a knights move in chess cannot contain the same digits.
  • Thermometers: Digits along a thermometer must strictly increase from the bulb end.

Lovely break-in with interaction of the rules. Middle part was a bit harder, indeed a 2 out of 5 difficulty for me. Loved it!

Absolutely brilliant use of the short thermometer with the anti-knight rule. The break difficulty goes down a lot if you can trust your colors.

There's nothing useful I can add to the comment by the Chief Examiner. But the title threw me off a little because I kept thinking that the reason the thermos were not of length two meant the tip was needed for disambiguation. Sorry.
