Would Fibonacci like Renban?

(Published on 13. June 2024, 17:49 by fractalminding)

  • Normal sudoku rules apply.
  • The green dots separate 2 digits, which together are a two-digit Fibonacci number (13, 21, 34, 55, 89). From left to right or top to bottom. All points are given!
  • Pink Renban lines contain non-repeating consecutive numbers in any order.

Solve on SudokuPad!

The solution does not require hard strategies. Have a nice solution! I will be very glad to see your comments.

I didn't even realize there was a negative constraint until after I solved it and read the comments. So I don't think it's needed at all. The puzzle solved quite easily without the negative constraint.

User bpcobra96 pointed out a bug. One green dot was missing. The picture and link to the solution have been changed.

Yes. You're all right about the negative constraint. At first, the solution was planned differently. But for some reason I had to change the sudoku. Therefore, there are 1 or 2 points with a negative constraint that you can use, but you don't have to. Thank you for the kind words. I am very pleased.

The negative constraint entered very rarely. Straightforward solve with nice payoff in Renbans.

Like user wuc, I also did not use the negative constraint. The author is correct, it does not require any fancy strategies to solve. I would rate this a tougher 1* or lower 2*. If a lesser experienced solver is concerned this will be too difficult, please don't! You can solve this and it's quite pleasant.

The fibonacci restriction forces a lot of direct digits. I didnt use the negative constraint. Fun approachable puzzle thx.
