LM-Übungsrätsel: Matchmaker

(Published on 9. June 2024, 17:21 by CJK)

This puzzle has been constructed as a preparation puzzle for this years LM.

Rules: Assign each puzzle type a grid and solve the corresponding puzzles. The puzzle types are:

  • Geradeweg hexagonal: Draw a closed loop in the grid that goes through all cells with numbers. Numbers indicate the length of all segments going through that cell.
  • Cave hexagonal: Shade some cells, such that all unshaded cells are connected and all shaded cells are connected to the edge of the board. Numbers cannot be shaded and indicate the number of all unshaded cells that can be seen in all directions. The cells with the number itself counts once.
  • Kurotto hexagonal: Shade some non-numbered cells, such that each number indicates the sum of the areas of all adjacent shaded groups.
  • Loop hexagonal: Draw a closed loop without acute angles that does not go through numbers. Numbers indicate the number of adjacent cells used by the loop.
  • Nonconsecutive hexagonal: Put a digit from 1 to 9 into each cell, such that no digits repeat in each line (in each direction) and neighboured digits are not consecutive.
  • Nurikabe hexagonal: Shade some cells, such that all shaded cells are connected and no 3-cell-triangle is complete shaded. Numbers cannot be shaded and indicate the size of the group of unshaded cells containing the number.
  • Sechs Winde hexagonal: Draw straight lines, starting at numbers, such that every cell is contained in exactly one straight line. Numbers indicate the total number of cells contained in each line starting at this number.
  • Shikaku hexagonal: Divide the grid into "parallelograms" such that each parallelogram contains exactly one number which indicates its size.

Solution code: The middle row for each puzzle (A to H):
For Kurotto, Nurikabe and Cave: S for a black cell, W for a white cell.
For Geradeweg, Loop and Sechs Winde, the lengths of the horizontal lines in this row.
For Nonconsecutive: The digits.
And for Shikaku for every cell the size of the region.

Ganz toll, danke!

@Drawoon, the solution for your Cave is wrong.
