Zodiac Project: Phase Shift

(Published on 9. June 2024, 16:51 by meggen033)

This is the 5th puzzle in the Zodiac Project series created by ViKing Prime. The idea is that you get a grid with a unique 9-cell disjoint set to create a puzzle along with any other ruleset you see fit. You then create a new grid with a unique 9-cell disjoint set and pass it on to continue the chain. The chain so far is as follows:

Orion's Belt by Viking Prime.

Counting Castles by marty_sears.

Derezzed by heliopolix.

Rodd Stevens by 99%Sneaky.

The next setter in the Zodiac Project Series with be sujoyku using the grid below.

Solve with F-Puzzles

• Normal Sudoku rules apply.

• Disjoint: Diamonds mark a set of the digits 1-9.

• The digits along each arrow must sum to the digit in the circled cell.

• Digits along each thermometer must increase starting from the bulb end.

• Adjacent digits along a green german whisper line must have a difference of at least 5.

• A black dot between cells indicates cell values with a 2:1 ratio. A white dot between cells indicates cells with consecutive values. Not all dots are given.

Happy Solving and God Bless!!!

Fantastic puzzle with very nice usage of different constraints! Pretty smooth solve path with some nontrivial interactions between the elements. Thanks, meggen033!

Great puzzle. Slow but steady.

This was a really fun puzzle, and a good difficulty level for me. Some really nice deductions and very pleasing use of the disjoint diamonds. Thankyou for carrying on the Zodiac Project :)

Wonderful! There's something about a puzzle with a focus on the more classic constraints, so satisfying.

I see you've chosen "challenge mode" for poor Sujoyku; curious to see what they do with that grid!

Very clean the whole way through. Elegant use of the disjoint set, a fun puzzle indeed :)
