Yes, your solution is fine so far.
Concerning the other question. I know that a lot of people around here differentiate between "logical steps" and bifurcation. I don't see a clear difference. If I have two options and option 1 implies proposition 1 which in turn implies proposition 2 which contradicts something in the puzzle and therefore the result is option 2, is this a logical step or bifurcation? I have no problem with the reductio ad absurdum and the law of excluded middle. But others have, I know. I just wanted to prove uniqueness for a 9x9 without a given.

I haven't solved it (and I have no intention to), but when the first sentence in the puzzle rules literally is the Sudoku rules, it is hard to argue that it isn't a Sudoku.

Shifting the puzzle from "No Sudokus" to "Sudokus" doesn't reflect its essence. There's no need for that.
