How Bizarre

(Published on 5. June 2024, 14:42 by Nahileon)

Normal sudoku rules apply.

The circled cell is odd.

Rensum Lines: Divide each grey line into at least two non-overlapping segments. Each segment of a line adds to the same total. Additionally each segment individually forms a set of consecutive, non-repeating digits in any order. E.g. 32454 would be a valid line, with two segments that add to 9.

I enjoyed this a lot but I'm concerned that my solution looks a lot like brute force

Can a segment on a line be one cell? I’m inclined to believe not, but I want to make sure.

Nevermind, answered my question through the power of using my eyes haha

Original, interesting, tricky, enjoyable - not so easy to track all the possibilities on those lines. Several surprises along the way. Great puzzle - thanks for setting!

Welcome back Nahileon! x)
What a super strange puzzle with a lot of surprising yet bizarre deductions indeed throughout (especially those two long lines). I’d actually put it around harder side of 4/5 or even 5/5 for how consistent the solve goes (lul)

For future solvers: Make sure to double check (or even triple check) your reasoning at certain lines just so you won’t miss other case[s].
