Into the Dungeon 6

(Published on 29. May 2024, 20:22 by Corvin)

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

Help the hero on his quest to conquer all dungeons and defeat the final boss!

Draw an orthogonal path that doesn't fork. It starts at the green circle and ends at the boss with the digit 9. If a part of the path is not in a dungeon that part is not allowed to touch another part of itself orthogonally that's also outside of a dungeon.

Dungeons (Killer Cages): Cages are dungeons and digits inside sum to the value shown in the upper left corner of the cage (if given) and do not repeat inside the cage. The hero must traverse the dungeon completely before exiting. The last cell the hero touches is the boss. The boss is the highest digit in the dungeon. Each boss is a unique digit.

White Kropki Dot: Digits joined by a white dot are consecutive. The hero must touch one of the cells but not the other.

Black Kropki Dot: Digits joined by a black dot are in a 1:2 ratio. The hero must touch either both cells or neither.

V/X-Sum: Cells joined by a V sum to 5 and cells joined by an X sum to 10. The hero must touch one of the cells but not the other. The cell not touched by the hero shows the number of adjacent (diagonal/orthogonal) cells that are outside of a dungeon on the heroes path.

Solution code: Follow the heroes path to move from the boss with the number 5 to the boss with the number 2. Write down all the numbers that are outside of the dungeons along that path. (Exclude the bosses 5 and 2)

Something is going on with the solution. I've solved the puzzle, but the solution code is not being accepted. I'm travelling from the 5 boss to the 2 boss on the path excluding dungeon cells. Am I missing something?

That was fun! It took me a bit to understand the path rules, but once I got them down, it flowed very nicely. Thanks!
