Quantum Moon

This puzzle uses the Modular Lots constraint inspired by 99% Sneaky's Lots puzzles. This puzzle is also an homage to his Outer Wilds puzzle series, which includes puzzles for many of the locations in that amazing game.

Rules:

  • Sudoku: Place the digits 1-9 once each in every row, column, and 3x3 box.
  • Modular Lots: A digit in a teal circle belongs to a modular group ([147], [258], or [369]). The circled digit indicates how many digits from that modular group appear along the attached line.
  • For example: if r5c5 is a 4, then there are four digits from the [147] group on the attached line, including the circled 4.
  • Zipper Lines: Digits an equal distance from the center of a hollow lavender line sum to the same total. For odd-length lines, the total is the digit placed in the line's center. Digits may repeat on a line, if allowed by other rules.
  • Kropki Pairs: Digits separated by a white dot are consecutive. Not all dots are necessarily given.

This was more thematically appropriate than I anticipated; it didn't flow at all as I expected but it was all the better for it. Great puzzle!
