Parity Sandwich Party [Sandwich, Parity, a Kropki Dot]

(Published on 23. May 2024, 12:07 by fractalJim)

I wanted to try something different (for me) with this one, almost no clues inside the grid. Please let me know if you like the parity logic, I will try another puzzle with it sometime if it is enjoyable.

Thank you to those on the CtC discord who tested this, particularly to ChinStrap for your detailed feedback, it is much appreciated.

Normal Sudoku Rules Apply: Place the numbers one to nine once each in each row column and box.

Sandwich Clues: Large numbers ouside the top and left of the grid are sandwich clues. The digits in the corresponding row or column between the digits 1 and 9 must add to the given value.

Consecutive Parity. The small numbers outside the right and bottom of the grid are consecutive parity clues. The corresponding row or column must contain at least one block of adjacent digits of the given size of a single parity (odd or even). A row or column must not have a group of adjacent digits of the same parity longer than the given size.

The white dot seperates two consecutive digits.

Solution code: Please enter the digits in row 7 from left to right.

Very nice puzzle!
I really liked the parity logic. I was expecting the parity rule stronger in the extremes (1-5), but it played a mayor role everywhere!
