Heavy Ominoes
(Published on 19. May 2024, 23:48 by Jay Dyer)
Rules
- Divide the grid into ominoes (regions of orthogonally connected cells) so that no two ominoes of the same size share an edge. Each cell contains a number equal to its omino's size.
- Shade some ominoes, so that no two shaded ominoes share an edge. If the unshaded ominoes were removed, and the shaded ominoes fell down without changing shape of crossing each other, then they would fill the entire bottom half of the grid, still with no same-size ominoes sharing an edge.
- A number in a cell with an arrow indicates the number of shaded cells in the direction of the arrow, not counting the arrow's cell.
Solve in Penpa+ or Sudokupad.
Solution code: The numbers in column 2, without separators.

Very nice ! Got stuck in the later half until I realized I had not yet used the "still with no same-size ominoes sharing an edge" rule... Thanks :)
