Normal Sudoku rules apply.
Place the digits 1-9 so that they do not repeat in any row, column, or 3x3 box.
5s live in Dutch Flats
All 5s in the grid must have a '1' directly above it or a '9' directly below it. It may have both, but it doesn't need both.
258 Row Index
Digits in Row 2 indicate the position of 2 in their respective column. Digits in Row 5 indicate the position of 5 in their respective column. Digits in Row 8 indicate the position of 8 in their respective column.
Odd Digits
Digits in a circle are odd.

Hint - Gentle guidance and the best place to start looking for digits.
The people that love indexing sudokus will already know how important entropy is, especially on Rows 2, 5 and 8 in this case. Giving careful consideration to where 5s can be placed with the indexing constraint and Flat Mates will soon narrow down 1s, 5s and 9s. Also consider the indexing of 2s and 8s from the start. Column 6 is a great place to look first, with more available deductions than you may realise.

This was great fun. I'm not good at indexing puzzles but this ruleset was quite approachable. Always love a good Flat Mates puzzle!

I just love the 159 puzzles and was happy to find out that the 258 works just as well. Especially with the flatmates rules, this became really interesting and not too hard at all.
Thank you Flinty for a fun one!

Thanks for the fix, and thanks for the puzzle. I love indexing puzzles, and they seem to blend very nicely with Dutch Flat Mates.

That's not nice. I was almost done in CTC and now it's all gone.
Flinty: Is the old link not in your history? :(
https://sudokupad.app/5s8ux4k8qq - Typo version
Rollo: Thank you, that works :-).
Did not know about a history.

Fixed a typo in the rules. Link updated. Apologies to anyone caught out by my error.

A little way into the puzzle now, and I think the digits in row 8 should indicate the position of 8 (not 9) in their column.
Flinty: Argh! Typo! I'll fix. Apologies.
