The Order

(Published on 18. May 2024, 18:45 by zetamath)

[This puzzle was created with the friends in my stream. Thanks for your help everyone! You can find a VOD of its creation here ]

Normal sudoku rules apply.

Draw some renban into the grid. A renban is a line which contains a string of consecutive digits, but not necessarily in the correct order. For instance, 3546 would be a valid renban.

For this puzzle, all renban are at least two cells long, and move orthogonally from cell to cell. Renban do not branch, overlap or touch themselves or each other orthogonally. Renban may touch themselves or each other diagonally.

Clues outside the grid are j-sums clues. They give the sum(s) of groups of contiguous renban cells within their row or column. The sums within a clue appear in the correct order left to right. Where given, clues are complete, with the caveat that a ... stands for zero or more omitted clues. For example, the row 8 clue says that the first sum is a 6 and the last sum is a 6, and there may be any number of clues in between them, including no clues at all.

A ? clue is an unspecified single digit number, and a ?? clue is an unspecified double digit number (that is, no leading zero).

An example of what a 6x6 completed grid might look like following these rules is given below.
