Sublime Primes

(Published on 10. May 2024, 20:41 by yanggang)

Normal sudoku rules apply.

A digit is circled if and only if it indicates how many of the up to 9 cells surrounding the circle (including itself) are prime numbers (2, 3, 5, 7). I.E. all such circles are given.

Tough one! But I liked the concept

Reply: Glad you enjoyed the concept. I worked really hard to get the rules as elegant as possible and I was pretty surprised that this type of puzzle can even have a unique solution.

First half was great, a couple of key points in the second half felt like I had to look a long way ahead to find a contradiction.

Reply: Glad you enjoyed the first half. All the steps are logical but quite tricky and I think it's sometimes hard to know where to look next so I understand your difficulty.
