Oh No! The Pi Snake Ate My Sum Clues!
(Published on 10. May 2024, 23:55 by Tulrak)
A bit of a different variation of Pi Snake sudoku this time.
The Sudoku was featured in the following video:
Old Man Joe Gaming (starting at 1:13:34)
Rules:
- Pi=3.141592653589793238462643...
- Sudoku: Place the digits 1-9 once each in every row, column and box.
- Sum Hungry Pi Snake: Color 25 orthogonally connected cells to create a 25 cell long, 1 cell wide snake that doesn't branch or touch itself orthogonally. The snake contains the first 25 digits of pi in the correct order (given above).
*The cells that are a part of the snake do not contribute to the sums of the little killers, X-sums or X clues.
- Little Killer: Digits along diagonals indicated by the arrows outside the grid must sum* to the number given by these arrows.
- X-Sums: The other numbers outside the grid show the sum* of the digits in the first X cells in that row or column, where X is the digit first seen from the clue (even if it's on the snake). Snake cells seen by the X-sum still count towards the cell count of the X-sum, even if they don't contribute to the sum.
- X clues: Digits in cells separated by an X must sum* to 10. Not all X clues are necessarily given.
