This puzzle is my third round of the March Madness Speed Setting Competition held on the Sudoku Skunkworks discord server. I had to create a puzzle within 90 minutes using two main constraints; one of my choosing and one selected by my opponent damasosos92. The "easy as 369" rule introduced by damasosos92 was a lot of fun and we are hoping to see more uses of it in the future.

Normal sudoku rules apply.

  • Zipper Lines: Pairs of digits an equal distance from the centre of a Zipper Line sum to the same total. For odd-length lines, the total is the digit placed in the line's central digit.

  • Easy as 369: Outside the grid are placed digits from the set {3,6,9}. A digit outside the grid indicate which digit in the set {3,6,9} is seen first from that direction.

The puzzle is available online via CTC-App

Solution code: Row 3 of the sudoku grid
