Here's a fun little puzzle to share with someone who is new to the wonderful world of sudoku variants
Normal Sudoku: Place the digits 1-9 once each in every row, column, and box.
Normal Thermo: Digits must strictly increase from the bulb to the tip of a thermometer.
Normal XV: Digits separated by a X sum to 10, ditis separated by a V sum to 5. Not all Xs and Vs are given.
Normal Kropki: Digits separated by a black dot contain a 1:2 ratio, digits separated by a white dot are consecutive. Not all dots are given.
Normal Arrow: Digits on the arrows must sum to the digits in the circle.
Normal Even: Cells containing a gray square are even.
Normal Quadruple: The digits in the circle must appear in the four cells surrounding that circle.
Normal Killer Cage: Digits in a cage must sum to the number in the top left corner of the cage.

As much as that was an easy and simple puzzle, watching the columns of pairs you set up crumble at the very end was intensely satisfying.
