Double Snakeban

(Published on 7. May 2024, 16:31 by yanggang)

Normal sudoku rules apply.

Renban: The box borders divide the two gray lines into segments. If a line enters the same box multiple times, these are counted as separate segments. Each segment forms a renban line (i.e. each segment contains a consecutive set of digits, not necessarily in order).

Snakeban: In addition, the sums of these segments (from both snakes) together form a (single) consecutive sequence of values, which can appear in any order along the two lines.

Scales: Less-than signs ('<') between two cells point to the smaller value.

Doubled digits: There are nine doubled cells in the grid, containing each of the numbers 1-9 once and with exactly one doubled cell in each row, column, and box. The doubled cells must appear somewhere on the snakes. Part of the puzzle is figuring out which cells are doubled. For the purposes of the renbans, snakeban, and scales, the value of a doubled cell is treated as twice the digit inside it.
