Color By Number

(Published on 19. May 2024, 05:00 by Will Power)

Normal Sudoku rules apply. SUMMING LINES- Different colored lines each have a different VALUE. The number in a cell that contains one or more lines is the sum of the VALUES of all lines that go to the center of that cell. The red in box 3 and box 7 are each considered only ONE RED LINE. Cells without any lines can be any number. KROPKI PAIRS- Numbers with a black dot between them are in a ratio of 2:1. Not all possible dots are given.

Hello, all. @chain.reader @PuzzleDoubt Each line color has a different value that the solver must figure out. Numbers in cells that have one, or more lines in them are the sum of the values for each line in them. So, if the red, green and blue lines have values of 2, 3 and 4, then row 9 column 1 (which has all 3 lines in it) is 2 + 3 + 4 = 9. If a cell has only one colored line in it, then the number in that cell is equal to the value of the line. Cells with no lines can be any number. HINT: Do what the title suggests to start. Color all the boxes that have only one color in them. -Will Power

I love colouring puzzles, but always struggle when I need all three shades of grey.
I like how deducing the number values is even possible without colouring.
