This is my attempt to bring an idea from 6x6-Sudoku into a higher grid size. I reworked this puzzle a few times until I found a satisfying combination of constraints to showcase the idea. Enjoy!
Rules:
Sudoku: Place the digits 1-8 exactly once in each row, column and box.
Diagonals: Digits must not repeat along the main diagonals.
Palindromes: The sequence of digits along a blue palindrome reads the same forwards and backwards.
Counting Circles: If a circle countains a digit N, then the digit N is contained in exactly N circles.
Ratio Pairs: Digits separated by a black dot are in a ratio of 2:1. Not all possible black dots are necessarily given.
Solution code: column 1 and column 2

Hard and clever, well worth taking the time to really understand how the constraints work.

Monstrously hard if you don’t spot the break-in, extremely elegant and beautiful if you do!

This is an exceptionally clever and beautiful idea, but one I needed a hint in order to see.
Extremely elegant use of counting circles as well. If anyone is feeling helplessly lost on this puzzle, the symmetry is suspicious...

Brutal!

Incredible puzzle! Makes me want to go back and solve it again with the path in mind instead of my needling and poking at it

Whatever rating this puzzle has now, it's not high enough.
