Here I have combined X sums with some chaos construction rules which I think makes a neat little puzzle. Thanks to chrisj50 from the CtC community discord server for testing and feedback. You can play it here on SudokuPad.
Rules:
Normal sudoku rules apply, place the digits 1 - 7 once each in every row, column, and seven-cell region. Regions(snakes) are determined by the solver, each region is one cell wide and orthogonally connected and can't branch. In the top left corner of one of the region's end cells is a clue, this clue is the sum of the first X (including X) digits moving towards the other end of the region where X is the digit in the cell with the clue. Cells separated by a white dot must be consecutive, not all white dots are necessarily given.
Solution code: Column six followed by column seven
