Happy birthday to the brilliant setter and lovely chap ViKingPrime.

Rules:

  • Fill the grid with the digits 1-8 so that digits don't repeat in a row or column.
  • V: Cells separated by a V sum to 5.
  • KING: Cells separated by a chess king's move may not contain consecutive digits (but could potentially be the same.)
  • PRIME: Any two adjacent cells along a purple line sum to a prime number.

Wonderful! Every time in Marty's puzzles I feel like I have broken it before realizing what I'm staring at is the key to everything. This was nice and smooth.

This was a lot trickier for me than the apparent 2-star difficulty but I loved it (once I could wrap my head around it!). You're too kind, Mr. Sears, this was such an innovative puzzle - a wonderful present.

I tryed and tryed. Over ours. Now suddently I see, KINGs move, not Horses move. Later on I'll try again, I should better read the rules...

I read the PRIME rule as: digits on a purple line sum to a prime number; and I clearly struggled for a minute. Very fun, thanks!
