Restricted Access (Fog of War)

Hello, Kennet's Dad here. If you ever felt that fog of war was a bit of a gimmick, then this puzzle is for you. If you ever felt that the velvet rope at a nightclub was a gimmick, then this puzzle is for you. Consider leaving a comment, it encourages others to try.
Rules:
- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- Digits along the blue 'negative' diagonal may not repeat; this diagonal begins in row 1 column 1 and crosses the grid to row 9 column 9.
- Some of the grid is covered in fog; placing a correct digit will remove the fog surrounding that digit.
- A cell filled with a blue square contains an even digit.
- Digits in cells joined by an X sum to 10; NOT all X clues are given.
- Digits in cells joined by a V sum to 5; ALL V clues are given and visible from the outset of the puzzle.
- One digit is double the other in cells joined by a black dot. Not all black dots are given.

I found that using letters is way easier than colours for this puzzle. To use them, enable the letter tool in the settings

Very nice break in.
run out of viable colors
(gray/dark gray don't work well in Fog grids)
so switched to letters for the last 2(3) groups. and that quickly got me a digit and solved everything ;)
very nice setup.

I enjoyed all the colouring, however I got to a deadly pattern and couldn't figure out the full break in past the first digit. I made an educated guess which turned out to be correct, but I'd be interested to know the confirmed logic.

I entered spaces in the solution code, just to be a rebel (site ignores them anyway). Very unusual puzzle. Liked it!

Okay, yeah, I got it with "colour everything" which ... are not puzzles I enjoy. Waiting until the end to suddenly unleash 81 digits is not my thing, but I can't deny it was well-constructed.

@Big Tiger: I would recommend first finding out where the numbers from the V's could fit. Remember the clues with the diagonal and that all V's are given.

Definitely a bit of a gimmick, and quite strange to be entering 9 copies of each digit together in a FoW puzzle. Good fun.
