I must've missed a key piece of logic because I had to bifurcate quite a lot... Anyways, it was a tough puzzle. Don't really know how this puzzle isn't rated more difficult.

I managed it but Simon from CTC would not have approved of the method I found necessary. Would be interested to see a more elegant solve. But thanks for the intriguing puzzle!
