I had this idea for an exclusivity puzzle for a while now, got around to executing it and I think it turned out to be a fun one :)


Rules:
  • Normal sudoku rules apply.
  • The grey squares contain even digits.
  • Each line in the puzzle is exactly one of the following types:
  • Renban - Digits on a renban line form a consecutive set of non-repeating digits.
  • Ten line - Each ten line consists of one or more non-overlapping contiguous groups of cells, each of which sums to 10.
  • Ratio - Adjacent digits along a ratio line are in a 1:2 ratio (one is double the other).
  • German whisper - Adjacent digits along a German whisper line differ by at least 5.
  • Finally, no digit may appear more than once on any one clue type. This includes the even squares.

Oh, this is brilliant. Really enjoyed this one. So many clever deductions to get started. The excusivity rule ties together all the clues really well.

Brilliant! The solve path of this puzzle was not what I expected, but I loved it. Remarkable how nicely this all flows from the opening few deductions. Some of the line placements are genius
