EquaLite Cages 109: Palindromes
(Published on 29. March 2024, 09:58 by gUBBLOR)
Another EquaLite puzzle for the list! The previous puzzle in the series:
EquaLite Cages 108: German Whispers
All my series:
Equality Cages
EquaLite Cages
Shifter Lines
Shifter Dots
This puzzle should definitely be a 1 star difficulty, but it might not feel like it if you solve it in the "incorrect" way. To make sure you get the snack experience (highlight the text to read):
This is fully intended to be a coloring puzzle, and there's not much need to focus on digits until the very end).
Rules:
Normal 6x6 sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1 through 6 in each empty cell. Digits must not repeat within the same row, column, or box.
EquaLite cages: Cages must have an equal number of low (1,2,3) and high (4,5,6) digits AND an equal number of even (2,4,6) and odd (1,3,5) digits. Digits may not repeat in a cage.
Inequality: An inequality sign between two cells is pointing to the lower digit of the two.
Palindromes: Digits along a palindrome line read the same forwards or backwards.

I personally used letters and found that super fun, definitely some deductions need to be made but that was a beautiful puzzle!

I probably colored this inefficiently to start, but once I applied the 2/5 thing, it eventually came together for me. Nice concept!
